Gennifer Mitchell

Bio

Gennifer was born and raised in Northern CA.  Her work history was mostly with Intel Corporation in Marketing and Communications and when her first daughter was entering kindergarten she decided she wanted a career with more flexibility so she could be more available to her two daughters.  Gennifer began her Real Estate career in a peak market in 2004 in Roseville, CA.  She was able to learn the basics of Real Estate through mentors and training of her company, she managed to grow and change “with” the downfall of the market during 2007-2011 partnering with peers to learn about Foreclosures, managing REO (Real Estate Owned) accounts working with banks and homeowners to clean up, list and sell homes that were now foreclosed on and being sold by the banks.

Gennifer also worked with many families who needed to Short Sell their homes, negotiating the pay off of many loans that were under water and sell for market value allowing those home owners to move on and begin rebuilding their credit.

During the downturn in the market, Gennifer worked with many investors who began to purchase these rundown and foreclosed homes, rebuild them with new and beautiful finishes and resell for higher values which helped to bring our failing economy back by increasing home values and allow families the ability to purchase homes with new amenities.  Gennifer performed many tasks with these investors acting as a design consultant on the redesign of many homes, staging of these rebuilt homes and finally listing and selling them all over the Sacramento county region.  These years of real estate experience were allowed with the support of her husband to work on a part-time basis while also providing love and care at home for her daughters and husband.

In 2012 Gennifer realized after years of counseling and trying to repair a failing marriage with her husband of 17 years, it was necessary to resolve the marriage for the health of herself and her two daughters.  Through that difficult process of grieving a family life that was no longer going to succeed, Gennifer began the long road to rebuilding her self-esteem, confidence and now the necessity to build her career in Real Estate full-time as a single mother.  It was now crucial for Gennifer to be strong for her daughters, providing an example as a strong woman who when faced with challenges in life, she could get back up, learn and grow into a stronger, loving and caring mother and business woman.

In 2015 Gennifer realized an opportunity to relocate to San Diego, CA to expand her experience and Real Estate career in a new area, with the support of peers in the industry.  This would allow Gennifer the fresh start she was craving as she rebuilds her life moving forward.  Her daughters chose to relocate with her and enjoy a relationship with their father with frequent visits in both northern and southern CA as well as extended vacations together during holidays.  Her daughters are thriving in their new environment and looking forward to where they want to attend college in a few years.

While Gennifer will always work with friends and referrals in the resale market, her passion and focus has turned back toward working with investors to acquire properties for buy/hold opportunities, rehabbing and rebuilding homes and also teaching her clients how they can utilize retirement and investment funds to receive larger ROI than is traditionally received in mutual funds and stocks.  Gennifer’s market area focus is in all of San Diego County.
